During the initial investigation, police determined that Collins and Fludd were acquainted, which enabled Collins to plan the robbery.
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month.
On Monday, PGPD announced the arrests of 24-year-old Keyondre Joyner and 18-year-old Jamiel Collins. Investigators say the two conspired to rob Tyler Fludd.
On Feb. 2, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road. When they arrived, they found Fludd with gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Authorities say Collins used his familiarity with Fludd to arrange the robbery. However, during the incident, Joyner allegedly shot Fludd. It remains unclear what led to the shooting.
Both Joyner and Collins face first-degree murder charges and are being held without bond at the Department of Corrections.
