Two students arrested at Bowie High School in connection with robbery

A student in Bowie is recovering after being choked and robbed by two classmates, according to police.

BOWIE, Md. — A student was assaulted and had personal items stolen during a school incident, Bowie Police say.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) learned of the attack on Monday at 11:40 a.m., reporting that the student was choked and robbed by two peers, who were later apprehended.

Authorities have not disclosed what was taken or whether it was returned. Due to the victim’s age, their identity has not been released.

The suspects are facing charges of first- and second-degree assault. One has been charged as an adult and is being held at the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, while the other was released to the Department of Juvenile Services.

Police say the investigation remains active.
