Two Arrested in Connection With Man Found Burned in Car in Annapolis

Two 18-year-olds have been charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was discovered in a burning vehicle in Annapolis, Maryland, on May 24.

Jonah Michael Poole of Davidsonville and Kylee Alyssa Dakes of Harwood were arrested Saturday at a home on Bethel Lane in Harwood. According to Anne Arundel County police, both face multiple charges including first- and second-degree murder, assault, conspiracy to commit murder, and arson.

Authorities responded to a report of a car fire in the parking lot of a business on West Central Avenue in Davidsonville around 9:25 p.m. on May 24. Once the fire was extinguished, police discovered human remains in the front passenger area of the vehicle.

The remains are believed to be those of an adult male, but investigators are still working to confirm the victim’s identity.
