Travis Scott Says He’s ‘Loyal’ to Ye ‘Over Biden’ on ‘Utopia’ Track “Skitzo”

Fresh off Barbenheimer, we’ve been given another Friday of head-to-head blockbusters with the release of Travis Scott’s Utopia and Post Malone’s Austin.

Perhaps expectedly, the artist formerly known as Kanye West—who last year quite literally praised Hitler in an interview with Alex Jones—has credits on several tracks off Scott’s Astroworld follow-up.

Ye also gets named in the Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet-produced track “Skitzo,” featuring Young Thug. Toward the end of the six-minute track’s fourth verse, Scott mentions both Ye (who unsuccessfully waged a presidential run in 2020) and current POTUS Joe Biden:

“I’m loyal, bitch, I got Ye over Biden”

In June 2020, Ye said on Twitter that he “could beat Biden off of write-ins.” Of course, this most assuredly did not come to pass.

More recently, West’s series of anti-Semitic remarks in 2022 ultimately spurred a statement from Biden. Though he didn’t directly mention Ye, Biden did call on those giving a platform to such hate speech to consider their impact.

“I just want to make a few things clear,” Biden said in December. “The Holocaust happened. Hitler was a demonic figure. And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should be calling out and rejecting antisemitism wherever it hides. Silence is complicity.”

Ye’s credits on Utopia include writing and production on “Thank God,” writing on “God’s Country,” and writing on “Telekinesis.” Drake, Beyoncé, 21 Savage, SZA, James Blake, and more show up with features across the 19-song album.

Hear “Skitzo” below and take the trip to Utopia here.
