Frederick, Md – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against a Frederick resident in connection with an attempted commercial burglary. Jordan Leondre Hailey, 34, faces 2nd-degree burglary, a felony, and 4th-degree burglary, a misdemeanor.

According to authorities, during the early morning hours of September 29, deputies conducting a routine patrol observed a suspect attempting to break into a commercial construction site located in the 10,000 block of Old National Pike in New Market. When confronted, the suspect fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody.

Investigators reported that Hailey was found carrying burglary tools and a two-way radio, which appeared to be active at the time.
