Maryland police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that injured one person and shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Prince George’s County for six hours Monday morning.
Kevin Gross, 46, of Baltimore, is facing charges including attempted first-degree murder for allegedly shooting Ronald Victor Garcia-Rodriguez, 28, of Laurel. Gross is being held without bond at the Howard County jail.
Garcia-Rodriguez called 911 around 4:30 a.m., reporting he had been shot multiple times. Maryland State Police found him injured on the shoulder of I-95.
Investigators believe the two men knew each other and had an argument prior to the shooting. It remains unclear whether Garcia-Rodriguez was shot inside or outside his vehicle.
The northbound lanes of I-95 near Route 198 were closed for several hours for the investigation, reopening just after 11 a.m.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 410-799-2101.
