SUITLAND, Md. — Authorities say a man has been charged with killing his girlfriend after her body was discovered wrapped in plastic and partially encased in concrete inside their shared Suitland apartment.
Prince George’s County Police identified the victim as 44-year-old Sherron Turner. Her body was found during a welfare check at the couple’s residence in the 2300 block of Ewing Avenue.
Officers discovered Turner’s remains wrapped in plastic and partially covered with concrete. Homicide investigators responded, and an autopsy later revealed she died from blunt force trauma.
The victim’s boyfriend, 38-year-old Michael McClanahan, was arrested the following day in Washington, D.C., on unrelated charges. He has since been formally charged with first- and second-degree murder, along with a charge related to concealing Turner’s body.
McClanahan remains in custody in D.C., and authorities have not yet disclosed a motive for the killing.
