Three people sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on northbound I-270 near Dr. Perry Road in Frederick, Maryland, on Monday morning just before 8 a.m.
According to Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services, the incident involved a tractor-trailer that overturned onto a passenger vehicle. Although the initial report indicated someone might be trapped, emergency crews confirmed there was no entrapment.
All three individuals were evaluated at the scene. One person initially declined hospital transport but later chose to go.
A hazardous materials team was also called in to remove fuel from the overturned tractor-trailer.
