Police Seek Suspects Accused of Breaking into 21 Cars in a Single Day

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Montgomery County police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a group believed to be behind a series of car break-ins last week.

Detectives are investigating a spree of 21 break-ins that occurred in the early hours of Dec. 2, around 2:30 a.m. The incidents took place in the areas of Belvedere Boulevard, Woodland Road, Dameron Drive, Forest Grove Drive, and Forest Glen Road. The suspects are also accused of theft and vandalism during the spree.

Surveillance footage from a residential camera captured four individuals during one of the break-ins. In the video, two suspects are seen breaking into a car parked in a driveway, while a third suspect points a gun at the home, and a fourth acts as a lookout.

Police have released the video to the public and are urging anyone who recognizes the suspects to contact Montgomery County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Information leading to an arrest could result in a reward ranging from $250 to $10,000.
