Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating a deadly pedestrian crash that took place on the night of Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Around 9:30 p.m., officers from the 4th District and Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck in the area.
The victim, identified as 47-year-old Blanca Elida Parada Del Cid of Kensington, was crossing Veirs Mill Road near Galt Avenue when she was hit by a Nissan Rogue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained on-site after the collision.
