Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating a deadly single-car crash that happened early Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the 300 block of Travis Avenue. The driver, identified as 25-year-old William Giovanis Vasquez of Clinton, MD, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred around 12:04 a.m. when a black 2023 Ford Mustang, traveling east on Travis Avenue, hit the median, crossed into the westbound lanes, and slammed into a large tree before coming to rest back in the eastbound lanes.
When emergency crews arrived, they found Vasquez deceased at the scene. A female passenger was critically injured and transported to a local hospital.
