Gaithersburg, MD – The Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigations Division is looking into an incident where a 2-year-old boy fell from the 15th floor of an apartment building in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak.
First responders from Montgomery County’s 3rd District and Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene around 2:11 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025. The toddler was found in a bush area after reportedly falling from a high-rise balcony.
Miraculously, the child survived the fall. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken leg and multiple internal injuries. Medical personnel say he is expected to recover.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances that led to the fall.
