PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Maryland State Police have arrested 34-year-old Kenyatta Von Williams Jr. following an alleged armed road rage incident on the Capital Beltway.
Williams was taken into custody after reportedly pointing a gun at another driver while traveling on the inner loop of I-495 near Route 210 in Prince George’s County. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday. The victim, whose identity has not been released, contacted police to report the confrontation. Investigators from the Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crimes Initiative analyzed dashcam footage and other evidence, ultimately identifying Williams as the suspect.
Police located Williams’ Porsche at a residence in Suitland. A search of the vehicle and home uncovered two loaded handguns.
Williams now faces multiple charges, including first- and second-degree assault and using a firearm during a violent crime. He was taken to the Prince George’s County Detention Center for a hearing before a court commissioner.
The Maryland State Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat gun violence on state highways and urged the public to share any information about other highway gun-related crimes. Authorities are continuing to investigate several violent incidents, including the road rage-related deaths of Delonte Hicks, Charles Marks, and Nyah Hairston.
