Suspect Arrested in Vape Shop Robbery and Assault in Hagerstown
Hagerstown, Md. – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a robbery and assault at a local business.
Deputies responded to a robbery call around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at D’s Vape Shop located at 18728 North Pointe Drive. Witnesses reported that a white male entered the store, threatened to kill the employees, and stole marijuana-related items. When a store clerk attempted to intervene, the suspect assaulted them before fleeing the scene.
Authorities located the suspect at approximately 8:27 p.m. near the Volvo entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue. Skylar Lee Turner, 25, of Hagerstown, was apprehended and taken to Central Booking for processing.
The stolen merchandise was recovered. Turner also faces charges for assaulting the store employee.
