Hagerstown, MD – A 32-year-old man, Taylor Andrew Rowles, has been charged with first-degree murder and multiple other offenses in connection with a homicide investigation in Clear Spring, Maryland.
On the morning of Friday, May 16, 2025, around 8:30 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call on North Mill Street in Clear Spring for a reported death. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 30-year-old Paige Grove. Authorities quickly determined her death to be a homicide, according to a statement posted on the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
A suspect was taken into custody at 9:12 a.m. the same day in the Clear Spring area. Rowles has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as first- and second-degree assault. He is being held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
Authorities emphasized that all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Investigators are seeking assistance from the public.
