A Silver Spring man has been charged after allegedly stabbing his mother’s boyfriend in the chest during an argument and then fleeing the scene.
O’Shea Hunter, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment.
The incident occurred last Wednesday afternoon on the 1500 block of November Circle in the White Oak area. Officers responded to a reported stabbing and discovered that Hunter had gotten into a heated argument with his mother’s boyfriend. According to police, he initially threatened the man with a fork before stabbing him in the chest with a multi-tool knife.
Hunter then followed the victim into a bedroom and struck him with an expandable baton before running out of the house.
The victim suffered a chest wound but declined medical treatment.
Police later located Hunter in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive. He attempted to evade arrest by jumping a fence but was taken into custody. He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
