CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — UPDATE: Authorities say they have identified and contacted the family of the child who was found alone early Wednesday morning.
Prince George’s County Police had requested the public’s help to identify and reunite the young child with their family. The child was discovered near Ronald Road and Karen Boulevard, close to the Millwood Townhouses. At the time, officers were unsure of the child’s name or age and released a photo on social media around 5 a.m. to seek assistance.
Anyone with information was urged to call 911. Police confirmed the child is safe, and they are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
