Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating an incident that left three people injured Monday morning in Rockville. Police are working to determine the circumstances that led to the disturbance and are continuing efforts to gather information from those involved and nearby witnesses.
According to the Montgomery County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:20 a.m. to the area of Crabbs Branch Way and Indian Head Drive, near the Redland Crossing community, after receiving reports of an altercation. When officers arrived, they located three individuals with injuries. Officials stated that all injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, and the individuals were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. Updated medical conditions have not yet been released.
Early findings suggest that two of the injured individuals were members of the same family, and a third person was harmed while attempting to assist during the incident. Police have not provided details regarding the family relationship or any potential conflict that may have preceded the situation. Investigators are still working to determine whether the event was connected to a domestic matter, an argument, or another cause.
The person believed to be responsible left the area before law enforcement arrived, and no identifying information has been released at this time. Detectives are actively working to locate the individual as part of the ongoing investigation.
