Frederick Police Address Altercation at Governor Thomas Johnson High School on Tuesday

Minor injury reported in fight at Frederick high school basketball game.

FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick Police are investigating a fight that broke out Tuesday night during a basketball game between Governor Thomas Johnson High School and Frederick High School.

Officers were called to the scene around 9:00 PM following reports of multiple individuals involved in an altercation outside the school. Five people were found engaged in the fight.

One person sustained minor injuries, was treated on-site by emergency medical technicians, and did not require hospital transport. Police detained three juveniles involved in the incident, who were later taken home.

Although reports of a gun were mentioned over police radio during the incident, officers confirmed that no firearm was recovered, and no weapons were found on anyone.
