SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Police say four juveniles are facing charges in connection with a fatal crash that followed a police pursuit in Seat Pleasant.
The suspects, whose identities have not been released because of their ages, are charged with motor vehicle theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and theft over $25,000.
The crash occurred on August 26 when a stolen vehicle struck 35-year-old Shaunte Denise Canty’s car near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Sheriff Road. Canty was killed, though a child passenger in her vehicle survived.
Authorities confirmed they had been pursuing the suspects prior to the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
