Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Silver Spring, Maryland, resulting in one death and injuries to two others, including a young child. According to a spokesperson from the Montgomery County Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious collision in the 900 block of Good Hope Drive. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered that one of the drivers involved in the crash had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. That individual’s identity has not yet been released, as police continue efforts to notify next of kin.
The second vehicle involved was driven by an adult male, who was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. A child who was also in the vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
