Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with assistance from the Maryland State Police, arrested four individuals and recovered stolen merchandise and suspected drug-related items following a reported shoplifting incident in Sykesville, Maryland. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at approximately 11:07 a.m. at the Walmart Supercenter located at 6400 Ridge Road.
According to law enforcement officials, deputies were dispatched to the store after receiving a report of an active theft. Store employees reported that multiple suspects had pushed shopping carts filled with merchandise out of the store without paying. The individuals then left the area in a white Chevrolet Impala, which was seen traveling eastbound on Route 26.
Deputies quickly began searching for the vehicle and, with the assistance of Maryland State Police troopers, were able to locate it in the 6100 block of Monroe Avenue. All four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the car, authorities recovered the stolen merchandise reported by the store. In addition, deputies located several glass smoking devices and containers that appeared to contain residue believed to be from controlled dangerous substances.
The four individuals arrested were identified as Milo Darren Bary-Parhjam, 35, of Baltimore; Regina Elizabeth Musa, 50, also of Baltimore; Kenneth James Parham, 36, of Halethorpe; and Lauren Kimberly Thomas, 43, of Friendship. Law enforcement officials stated that each of the suspects faces charges related to theft, possession of controlled dangerous substances other than cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, Kenneth Parham, was facing additional charges. Deputies charged him with obstruction as well as multiple traffic-related offenses. These included driving on a suspended license and operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device, both of which are violations of Maryland law.
Following processing, Parham and Thomas were released on their own recognizance, while Musa was released on an unsecured personal bond. Bary-Parhjam was not immediately released and remains in custody at the Carroll County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
Authorities emphasized that all individuals charged in this case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office continues to remind the public that theft and drug-related offenses are taken seriously and encourages community members to report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
