Recall Issued for Frozen Vegetables Sold in 6 States Due to Listeria

Federal health officials announced Thursday that certain bags of Endico frozen vegetables are being recalled due to potential listeria contamination.

The recall involves 2.5-pound bags of Endico peas and carrots and mixed vegetables distributed between July 18 and Aug. 4, 2025 in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, and Washington, D.C. Endico Potatoes Inc., based in Mount Vernon, New York, issued the recall after product samples tested positive for listeria monocytogenes at a Pennsylvania distributor.

Recalled products include:

  • Peas and carrots — Lot 110625, production date 6/11/25, use by 6/10/27

  • Mixed vegetables — Lot 170625, production date 6/17/25, use by 6/16/27

So far, no illnesses have been reported, according to the FDA.

Listeria infections can be especially dangerous for young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems, and may also cause pregnancy complications. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, nausea, diarrhea, headache, and abdominal pain.

Customers who purchased the recalled vegetables should return them for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Endico at 1-800-431-1398.
