FREDERICK, Md. (KM) — Frederick Police have arrested a man in connection with a double shooting that occurred last week.
Nyzeir Sampson, 28, of Frederick, was taken into custody in Hagerstown on Monday by Frederick Police detectives with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Task Force. He faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a handgun on his person and in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm, and using a handgun during a violent crime.
Sampson is currently being held without bond.
The shooting took place on the evening of April 28th in the 1100 block of Key Parkway. Officers responding to the scene found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They provided emergency care until medics arrived. Both victims were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore and were released the following day. However, they have not cooperated with the investigation.
