Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section, have arrested two suspects in connection with the September 2024 shooting death of Antoine Lavale Parker.
On September 22, 2024, at approximately 11:24 a.m., officers from the 6th District responded to a reported shooting and found Parker inside his apartment with gunshot wounds.
Following an investigation, detectives identified 65-year-old Erick Darryl West of Gaithersburg and 45-year-old Daryl James Howard as suspects.
Investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at Howard’s residence on December 20, 2024, leading to firearm-related charges. On February 26, 2025, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Howard, charging him with first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
An arrest warrant for West was issued on February 24, 2025, also charging him with first-degree murder. Two days later, on February 26, detectives executed a search warrant at his residence, taking him into custody without incident.
