Missing Maryland Teen Found Dead; Police Investigating
ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. — A 19-year-old Maryland man who was reported missing has been found dead, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
Matthew Skye Keister, of Hollywood, Maryland, was discovered on Monday, a week after he was last seen and just one day after being reported missing.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office located Keister in the 25000 block of Jones Wharf Road while responding to an emergency medical service call. His body was transported to Baltimore, where the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity.
Witnesses reported last seeing Keister on Jan. 20, but his disappearance was not officially reported until Jan. 26. Police have not yet disclosed his cause of death or who placed the emergency call that led to his discovery.
