Two Bodies Found Near Each Other in Montgomery County; Suspect Arrested

Montgomery County police have arrested 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev in connection with a double homicide after two bodies were discovered Friday morning within half a mile of each other.

The first victim, a man, was found inside a car at Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard around 3:15 a.m. Police reported bullet holes on the car’s exterior.

Later, at approximately 7:40 a.m., Rockville City Police responded to a hotel parking lot at 2 Research Court, where they found a woman’s body with gunshot wounds.

Montgomery County Police spokesman Carlos Cortes stated that detectives are investigating whether the two incidents are connected. Bullet holes were observed on another car at the hotel scene, and evidence markers were scattered throughout the area.

Cortes confirmed there is no immediate public threat, and authorities are reviewing surveillance footage, conducting aerial searches, and speaking with witnesses and employees from the area.

The bodies have been transported to Baltimore for autopsies, and their identities remain undisclosed. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
