Three People Shot Inside Clinton, Maryland Home

CLINTON, Md. — Two men and a woman were hospitalized on Saturday after being shot inside a home in Clinton, Maryland, according to Prince George’s County Police spokesperson Cpl. Emily Austin.

“All victims are now in stable condition,” Cpl. Austin confirmed on Saturday, adding that the investigation remains ongoing.

The incident occurred around noon on the 8800 block of Clayton Lane, a residential area near The Landing shopping center, according to PGPD.

As of 5 p.m., no arrests had been made, and there were no suspects in custody. However, a preliminary investigation suggests that the shooter may have been acquainted with at least one of the victims.

“We do not believe this was a random act,” said Cpl. Austin.

Nearby, police also responded to a truck fire and are working to determine whether it is connected to the shooting.

Initially, one of the shooting victims was reported to be in critical condition, but their status was updated to stable by 5 p.m.
